Today I arrived in Seoul, South Korea. I am here for a four weeks research stay at the HCI lab of the Konkuk University together with Nadia, a colleague of mine. The stay is part of a joint research project between the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences and Konkuk University, and one of our goals is to prepare master’s thesis proposals for two exchange students visiting later. We also want to get to know the people in and around the lab and the Korean culture in general.
Currently, I am a bit tired from the over 20 hour flight (via Doha, Qatar) and will certainly have to let all the new impressions to sink in. Luckily, we were nicely greeted and brought to our rooms on campus by Daniel, an exchange student also participating in the project who already arrived three weeks earlier. He also showed us around a bit and we enjoyed a nice dinner together in one of the typical and numerous Korean restaurants.
I hope to see interesting things and will certainly write something about them on this site.
